This issue is a particularly personal one – it marks our return to Champagne, this past April, following a COVID-induced hiatus.
Not that we needed an excuse to go, but our incentive was to attend Printemps des Champagnes, a grower trade tasting extravaganza where journalists, sommeliers and educators from all over the world converge on the region in search of something new or alternative for thirsty champagne customers.
Inside this issue we recapture those incredible moments during Printemps – star-studded grower tastings, vineyard walks, elaborate dinners and one-on-ones with chefs de caves. There are some wonderful discoveries and tastings of bottles we are yet to receive here in Australia.
